How does one prevent their Android Build from being transparent?

I was trying to get myself started in Unity by following the Brackeys "How to make a Video Game in Unity" tutorials and succeeded for the most part. Game works great. However, I noticed that when building for Android, it would run fine right after installation, but not when you open the app.
What happens after opening the app normally is that the skybox disappears from the game and leave me with only the last frame rendered by the device before the app opened. This transparent effect also happens with the fade to white at the end of each level. This does not happen on the PC build.
Attempted Fixes:
I set the Clear Flags setting on the camera to Solid Color to achieve the the solid color look as instructed by the tutorial. To test for the issue, I've tried setting the third level to use the default skybox, but that only partially removes the issue and doesn't really fix it. It only side steps it. You can still see the issue when the level fades out.
I thought it might have something to do with the UI since the fade out was made with the UI features of Unity and I do have two transparent buttons covering the entire screen for touch control. (These buttons are also present in the PC build.) I tested this theory by completely deleting the canvas, but the issue remained present.
Recreation:
As for recreating the issue, I tried making a new project and setting Clear Flags to Solid Color again. This resulted in everything working as it should without any transparent background. Since I couldn't recreate it that way, I'm not sure how I would go about doing it.
