Animation, Split or Combine?

Hi,

I'm not sure that whether combining the animation into one animation clips and import as one fbx file is better or split them into separate fbx file.

Which one can have higher performances?

Hi - this is simply a workflow consideration, it should have no impact on performance as all the animation data is compiled at build time. In such case choose which best supports your animation workflow - e.g. if you want to organise clips in your source package and export all with a script or individually using the clip@objectname naming convention then do so, or if you like to export one long animation of all your to clips and use Unity to split and edit your clips then you can go down that route. If you are using Mecanim and you need to set up your clips anyway the latter option can be better as you can do this all in the same place. Here is some reference:
