character creation
i want to make my own character for a 3rd person game. the default is a construction worker, i want to know how to make my own give it facial features, clothing, etc. i don't care about animating it for some reason whenever i ask this question someone talks about changing animation. Infamous had "Cole" Assassins Creed had "Ezio" i want my own

What youre asking isnt Unity. If you want to design your own character model, you need to DL software that specializes in that such ad 3DS Max, Maya, Silo, or Blender. I would recommend using Silo or Blender if you have little-to-no experience in modeling; theyre tools are the easiest to learn in a shorter time and theyre free to use. What youre asking isnt easy. It takes time and finesse to learn, especially giving it texture. For textures, you can use Gimp or even better, PhotoShop.
Unless you want to purchase premade models you can go to places like www.TurboSquid.com. They They have a plethora of models you can get for a fair price. There are other ones like them that I cant think of off-hand. I also recommend checking out www.Lynda.com for video tutorials. You will have to pay to become a member, but I found it to be a HUGE help to learn all levels of experience in these tools.
