Question by ronronmx · Dec 13, 2011 at 03:26 AM · lightinglightmaplightmappingbeast

Force objects to specific lightmap indexes on bake all?

I know you can force selected objects to specific array indexes when you lock the automatic atlas generation, but what about when you run it for the first time and none of the index, atlases have be generated yet...how do you force specific objects to be on the same lightmap?

For example, I want all my buildings together in lightmap0, then all my streets in lightmap1, all my props in lightmap2 etc...

Thanks for any help, and as always thx for your time! Stephane

Hi! have you found a solution? I've also been fighting with the Beast lately.

Yes I have but it's been a while since I had to bake anything so I can't remember...I know you have to manually assign the index so turn automatic atlas generation off.

I'm going to start making new levels soon so I'll be using Beast again a bunch, so I'll come back here and update my answer when that happens :)
