Can I use the Sprite Mode Polygon Editor to outline multiple sprites in one image atlas? Ifso, howso?
So, using the 2D tools properly for the first time in a long time. I seem to recall seeing multiple objects outlined with a polygon collider via the Sprite Mode Polygon Editor (select texture to open import settings, set to sprite(2d/ui), set type to 'polygon', click on 'Sprite Editor').
Yet upon trying to identify a second sprite in the sheet and then change it's polygon outline, no dice.
Do I need to make all polygon-outlined sprites individual images? And if not, what is the process by which I can set up multiple polygon-outlined sprites on one texture?
Darned if I can find it. I'll keep checking tutorials & Googling, but if somebody can give me a straight answer here it would be splendid.
Thanks in advance, --Rev
In the interim, I discovered that adding a Polygon Collider 2D to a sprite taken from a multiple-sprite texture atlas did what I was attempting to do - create an irregularly shaped hull that covered a sprite of non-square shape.
Not entirely sure what the purpose of the 'polygon' option is in the Sprite Import, now. Is this for making fast polygon shapes in order to display sprites?
