Importing an animated material from Blender
I'm trying to import an object from Blender into Unity with a procedural material that changes over frames (for an object made out of flowing water). I know the usual fix for a static material is to uv map and bake the material onto an image (which can be used by Unity), but what can be done with a procedural material that changes over time?
I've looked a bit into importing in glTF format with little success.
Thank you.
Hi, may have to disappoint you but not much can be done here, unity and blender materials are not compatible that's why you need to bake blender material to standard texture and use it instead of the material for simple materials. The best thing you could do is simply recreating the material in Unity using ShaderGraph (unless it's something very unique it should not be too hard). However, if you do find some magical way to do that, please share as that would be a life changer for me as well ✌️
