No "Standard Assets" in Project tab, new to unity, please help
I was following along a tutorial i found online and it required me to open up the standard assets folder in the project view, then told me to open up the prefabs folder and get FPS controller. there was no Standard assets folder in the project tab, so i couldnt do this. PLEASE help.
can you give us a link to the tutorial so we know how to help you alittle bit better.

I started on the same tutorial, so I know what one you are talking about. If you want to get the standard assets folder in the project view, just open it up in the actual folder that all of your Unity files are in. then find the folder called "standard assets" and just drag it in.

I had the same problem, but I don't see a "standard assets" folder unless you mean the one that is "Standard Assets (Mobile)". Is is that one?
On the top of the Editor click Assets > Import package. All the packages listed there are the standard assets.
I'd like to up-vote Joshua's reply to this comment as it's just what I needed!
In fact, Joshua's 'comment' is more appropriate an answer than the 'answer' on which it is a comment!
