Possible to create primitive cube offset from own origin
I need to create cubes given a position and size but I'd like it's world position to remain zero. Is there a quick way to do this? ie create the cube and then change its origin?
Otherwise the long way it to create an object at position 0,0,0 and create the verts and faces myself and then add a box collider... but if there was a quick way id love to hear it.
please dont ask why, just needs to be done...
nope, too many objects being created and destroyed. it slows things down
Too specific. There are many answers and techniques for changing pivots.
Creating and destroying in a game is bad practice. Reuse things. I bet it's faster to parent than it is to translate vertices and recalculate bounds afterwards.
this isnt a game, I have far too much geometry that will just crash on a tablet so I have no choice but to create and destroy objects as I need them. I dont need super high framerates I need to not run out of memory
