Adding a gun and creating an animation for a 2d character to move with a animation.
Hi Friends,
I'm creating a 2d game based on the Standard Asset 2d RobotBoy Character. The game is a shooting game. Since i'm new to unity, I have a difficulty in adding a gun to the character and creating an animation for the character to move with the gun. Please anyone could suggest a link or a tutorial which adds a gun to the character and an animation, I would be very happy.
PS : The Unity Community has been very helpful for me to find answers. Keep up the good work.
Cheers Aadarsh..
Animations are typically done in a third-party program like Blender. Adding a gun to the model can be done by making it a child of the hand bone.
I would recommend (If you want to draw your own character animation) drawing the character, and arms separately. So that you can add the arm later and use this asset to control the arm and gun.
Here is the asset i'm using: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/56853
Sorry I can't give you a tutorial on how to draw the character animation.
