the camera in game is zoomed in on my player.
when I click on game to check out what I've done the camera is zoomed up close on to my player. I try moving the camera but when I leave game mode then go back the camera is zoomed close again. thanks for the help
That is because when you click the play button in Unity, your actually in "Debug Play mode", meaning, you can make changes and move things around to see the results, without actually worrying about those changes being permanent (the only thing I experienced that stays, are changes to a material), so when you stop playing your game in the editor, all your changes are reverted back to what it was.
So, either:
move your camera before hitting Play
if your moving your camera while in play mode, before you stop playing it, select your camera, right click on the Transform, and click "copy component", then select your camera again after you have exited play mode, and right click on any component, then click "Paste component values"
Hope that helps.
