FPS decreases over time in editor (Potential memory leak?)
Ever since updating to the newest version of Unity, I've encountered a problem of some (not all) of my projects, even ones made since updating; my FPS in the editor starts at about 300 FPS; it then decreases (usually within 5-10 minutes of opening the editor) more and more, until the program inevitably crashes. I made a new project, with the only asset being the Invector Third Person Controller, yet it still happens; I'm guessing the problem is some kind of memory leak, but I cannot pinpoint the problem.
Any help would be appreciated; thanks!
How much RA$$anonymous$$ do you have? What specific Unity version we're talking about? Hopefully not alpha, because "alpha" is greek for "this program will crash asap"
8 Gigabytes of Ram, 2019.3.11f1. Right now my RA$$anonymous$$ checker thing says I have 2.54 gigs available (that may be causing the problem), I'm not sure though.
Take a look at your system process diagnostics info (task manager/processes on windows) and find Unity Editor there. If there is no suspiciously high memory consumption then it's probably something other than memory related

Open up Profiler window and switch Playmode to monitoring Editor itself. There is all the data you need to diagnose the issue (memory allocations included)
I did that; it showed a ton of the "Others" category, what could that mean?
Btw I checked the memory usage, it seemed fairly normal (400-500 $$anonymous$$B used by the app).
If Unity Editor uses 500$$anonymous$$B at the moment when it crashes then it not a memory leak issue but something different. First things first, I recommend updating to 2019.3.15f1 (just to be sure it's not a bug fixed already)

It seems as though updating to 2019.3.15f1 fixed the issue.
