lightingrenderingdeferred rendering
Are Unity's lighting modes only useful for its built in shaders ?
I was a bit confused about this, as in if I am writing my own shaders, I do the light calculations myself, then how can Unity control how to render lights ? The only possible answer can be that all of the lighting modes, (forward, deferred etc.) are only applicable for Unity's built in shaders and not for shaders that we write.
Thanks
