Unity 5 .. Unity Remote 4.0 Not Working !!
Hi ..... i am using unity 5 ... and unity 4.0 remote app ...on My Xperia j device .....
but .. when i plug in the device i see this error
..

I get the same error, but your prolem is not this. When my phone isn't plugged in, i still get the error. The steps:
Edit - Project Settings - Editor - Device: Any android device
Save project. Exit Unity.
Plug in your cable to the PC and the Phone too
Start Remote 4 on phone
Start Unity on PC and press play. Now you should see it.
The sequence is important. You need to set the phone first, and after it you can start Unity.
not working .... is there any update i need for android SD$$anonymous$$ to run the remote ..?
open SD$$anonymous$$ $$anonymous$$anager and try updating/downloading these:
Under Extras:
Android Support Library
Google USB Driver
Under Tools:
Android SD$$anonymous$$ Tools
Android SD$$anonymous$$ Platform-tools
Android SD$$anonymous$$ Build-tools
I am also currently having similar problem, I followed the guide and everything, I have everything previously mentioned already downloaded, and I followed the steps listed on here but it is like unity does not recognize the remote is even there, my phone has already had the developer options turned on, and the device is declared in my device manager so no problem there. I don't know what else to do >.>
Running windows 8.1 unity 5.0.0.f4 android 5.1.1 (API 22) is also installed.
I will let you know if I figure this out, if I don't I will check back to see if you figured it out lol

Try to check and uncheck the Mobile Input. Maybe thats it? And if not check if there is a ny update on unity 4.0 remote, it may just be a really small but. Anyways hope you figure it out!
in the left upper corner there will be a button called "File" If you then look to the right you will see a button called "$$anonymous$$obile Input" @mh92
