Syncing Game Files with Server
Hi all,
I'm working on a Unity application that, among other things, should be able to visualize rich media content, such as text documents, images and videos.
Since this content is not static and may change over time, we would like to be able to host it on a central server so that content updates can happen without redistributing the app every time.
The client application doesn't need to modify any of the data, we just need it to periodically check if there is new content and download anything it's missing.
Does anybody know of a service that does this out of the box? We've been looking at a lot of cloud storage and real time database solutions, and they either don't sync the files or only support small string datasets, no large files. We can use a combination of the two approaches, but would prefer not to reinvent the wheel if such a thing already exists.
