black screen when you start unity3d
I download programs, and launched a black screen. I tried to reinstall. What to do?
If this is the very first thing you see on Unity launch for the very first time it may be related to AV and firewall.
Unity first run requires internet access and if your firewall blocks this out it may not ever progress.
This however, is just one idea and unfortunately there are many other reason for it to fail. You may need to hit google.
Googling results in either different question (Android-IOS game black screen, not editor one), a question without an answer yet, and a different unity. $$anonymous$$ore help is appreciated.

"I found packages unityeditor-cloud-hub-0.0.1.tgz and unity-editor-home-0.0.7.tgz in C:\Program Files\Unity\Editor\Data\Resources\Packages. Create folders node_modules\unityeditor-cloud-hub and node_modules\unity-editor-home in C:\Users\%user_name%\AppData\Roaming\Unity\Packages. Extract dist and package.json from unityeditor-cloud-hub-0.0.1.tgz into unityeditor-cloud-hub, dist and package.json from unity-editor-home-0.0.7.tgz into unity-editor-home. It's work.:) "
That worked for me, thanks you! I REPLACED the existing files in node_modules\unityeditor-cloud-hub and node_modules\unity-editor-home with the ones that I extracted. (exactly the way you wrote)
Thanks, it worked with 5.4.2f1. It seems that it's an ongoing problem that isn't addressed by unity devs.
on windows.. in my case the problem was caused by "socket: (10107) A system call has failed" by npm. So the solution was to run this command in console: netsh winsock reset in admin mode :)
i have fixed it jus write in run %APPDATA% and delete unity also unistal it from pc and reinstall it it should works :D
