Dynamic Audio Mixing?
Hey guys, i have been looking for things but i haven't found anything that answers my question definitely.
I am wondering if it is possible to set a channel for a specific audio source or some way to dynamically blend sounds into one channel. For instance, i want to build one or two complex audio systems for guns and things like that that will blend fire sounds into one continuous chanell rather than create new audio sources that could potentially drown out the older audio sources.
I have had problems in the past with high rate of fire weapons producing such effects, It was much more prevalent in older versions of unity and even sometimes sound just fails to play with really faint artifacts playing every few m/s. This will affect my scenes in the future as i will have plenty of audio going on in the background and it will be annoying if audio randomly stops playing / glitching due to overflow of channels.
For now i am relying on pre-mixed full auto loops, but it may be beneficial for me to randomly mix multiple single shots together for an better randomised effect.
In Short, Is it possible to dynamically mix multiple audio clips into the same channel at runtime efficiently? If so how is this done?
