How can I regenerate the an objects icon in the Project window?
I quite a few similarly shaped objects in my project that have lost their materials over time. As the materials were missing, Unity made their icons all pink. I have since replaced the materials, but the icons are still showing as pink. Is there a way to regenerate the icons? It would be nice to have the current icon always show. First, it's just easier to find the objects that I want, but more importantly, I would be able to easily find the objects that still need their materials replaced.
did u back up your project beforehand? if not i recommend making a habit of this whenever ur removing files as if u accidentally remove a crucial material u can simply paste it back from your backup which will automatically restore the materials it has broken, if u didn't make a backup im sorry but think u will be faced with the tedious task of reassigning them to there prefabs manually, though it is possible that there is an alternative to this i was unable to find one.
Try right clicking on assets and "Reimport all". That $$anonymous$$IGHT work. preferably you should have the old metafiles.
