How Can I Securely Send/Recieve Data from MySQL Server In Unity?
Hello, I am having some trouble figuring out how to correctly/securely read and write data to a MySQL Database. I have done some research, but I find flaws in every method.
Method 1: Connect directly to Database and go from there Flaw: Security Risk connecting directly to database
Method 2: Use HTTP POST (ex: "mygame . com / send.php? data= '12345'") Flaw: People can type that URL into their browser and input whatever data they want.
I've heard that a solution to #2 is to add some kind of a password that you need to know, but the user could easily unpack the application and find it.
So, I want to be able to read/write data to a MySQL database while not allowing users to enter data that they want.
Any ideas that are completely secure?
