Tear Factor (scripting ref). Also you might have a look at attachmentTearFactor.
Even setting the $$anonymous$$r factor to 10000, the ball still goes right through the cloth.
Well, a short visit on the scripting reference page of the cloth component would have told you that by setting the $$anonymous$$r factor to 0 (zero), $$anonymous$$ring will be disabled. Like Statement said: what's the mass and velocity of your ball? I will update my answer
It was 0 by default, but changed it to 10000 to see extremity.. It was $$anonymous$$ring at both 0 and 10000.. The mass is default for a default Unity sphere. The velocity is a straight upwards *= -pos
every update() with pos = 5
