Some UI text disappears on some platforms

Hello everybody, i need some help regarding UI text not appearing. It appears in the editor and the unity game view, but it disappears on certain platforms such as the iPad mini. Yet when on a different iPad mini, it works fine. Any ideas? Is this a unity bug or a problem in my code? BTW the the text has anchors to the centre of the screen and is inactive at the beginning of the game.
