HTC Vive Controller Twist - Extracting Angular Velocity On The Correct Axis
Hi guys,
I hope someone can point me in the right direction here. I'm looking into implementing some gameplay controls by making use of the HTC Vive's controller in a twisting action.
Just a simple outstretched arm with a forearm twist type motion. I want to extract some sort of velocity from this motion to then feed into a value of 0-1 (which then drives my gameplay mechanic, i've set that up already). I just need to manipulate that value of 0-1, hopefully with this twisting motion.
I like the idea of using the velocity of the controller so then this value can be slowly tweaked, or quickly scrubbed through. Basically using the speed of your wrist as a rate of control.
It would be so good to get some input on the best way to go about this.
Many thanks
