Saving/storing in a clash of clans type game
Im working on a Clash of Clans type of game, you build a base with structures and you can attack other players for resources. What im trying to find out is how would i save, a players base with the structures, the soldiers hes got, resources etc. And bring it back when someone attacks.
Would i store it in a mysql database? what would i store, the positions and rotations of the structures and then instantiate them in the scene when a player attacks?
I'm adding this as a comment, since I've never actually done it.
I think the best solution would be to have a save file (serialized ideally) in which you write at different times that you load at runtime (during a loading screen of some sort).
But I'm not sure there's an easy way to do this.
