How to destroy a tile on collision in several parts
I need an advice or at least a direction how to approach my struggle. I have a tile map of brick wall blocks such as this one
When it collides with the bullet I want to cut part of it, meaning make it 25% (from the original size) shorter or narrower. So I will need at least four shots to completely destroy it. I have a collider working, I am getting the coordinates of the tile I got hit. My first step was to destroy the whole tile and I got it working (lots of posts regarding this). But I can not find any suggestions how should I destroy it in several collisions. So is this possible while using a tilemap for one tile at a time? Or maybe I should divide this wall to smaller sprites and destroy them step by step because what I want is not possible? I was unable to find any info regarding this.
