How to fix Enlighten's baking problem
"Englighten (Unity 5.x) is an embarrassment and is dwarfed in comparison to Beast" is pretty much the general consensus on all internet forums.
From 4+ hour bake times, to random black splotches on gameObjects, to Realtime pre-bake mixed lighting looking completely different after bake, Enlighten has lowered the bar for Unity, giving developers an even larger reason to use the Unreal Engine.
Our firm has been pulling our hair out over this problem and in the end we wished we had used the graphically superior, Unreal Engine.
The real question is: Where has the Unity Team been after their 5.x release? The internet explodes in protest of this Baking garbage software is released, yet Unity keeps releasing other Realtime features in hopes that this will fix their problem.
Does anyone have a workaround for this? Baked lighting dramatically increases FPS for scenes with more complex objects but leaves game breaking graphical bugs.
