Make a flying enemy ?
What would be the best way to make a flying enemy? Seeing as the nav mesh is only 2d baking one higher up will just keep ai constrained to one height and that would look strange.
I made a script that has AIs randomly choosing from waypoints based on a timer while ray casting in all directions to test for collision. everything works fine for the most part, however every now and then some of the AIs will just fly straight and ignore all waypoints. they just fly in one direction endlessly. it seems to be more prominent when more AIs and obstacles are in the scene. Also at higher speeds it seems to be guaranteed to maker them bug out.
