I can't log in, sort of
I'm logged into my Unity ID, but not Unity Answers, and clicking "log in" simply redirects me to the main Unity Answers page again.
I'm confused, you are logged in if you can create this post?

I'm glad I'm not the only one, but I see this happened back in February..
This happens to me ALL the time. I can't even use Chrome on this site. In Opera, I've had mixed results. My laptop can't log in.. really, my desktop can log in here through Opera, and that's about it.
I think when I'm not logged in, I can post in the "Your answer" section, but things like edit on my posts, and reply to others posts aren't visible. Currently I'm about to post a reply here, with me not showing as logged in (therefore no "reply" and I won't be able to edit this post), but I think I'm quasi-logged in like DoubleATam explained.
I can use Answers fine from work, even though I must re-login every day. At home I can't log in at all though - I'm just redirected back to the main Answers page like OP. The account handling was frustratingly broken when they moved some server to unity.com. It has never worked properly since then.
When I came to this site from Google search results even if the redirecting page (google) redirects me to a specific answer, answer's page redirects me to the main/index page. This happens because answers page thinks I'm not logged in. The problem is; Even if I'm not logged in I should be able to see the correct page without having to be logged in.
Second problem is I have to login every day again and again even if I save my password, click remember me etc. I just have to select login and press O$$anonymous$$ to login. After a while like a day, I get logged off and had to login again.
Are they aware of this problems? Should we write this to somewhere?
I'm hoping an Ad$$anonymous$$/$$anonymous$$od sees this. $$anonymous$$y situation is actually a lot worse than yours. I've tried a few different browsers, and it's typically the same thing... i have to browse in incognito/in-private/etc. for it to recognized I'm login. Otherwise, I log in successfully, and it just treats it as though I'm not logged in. So I don't see all the icons (like reply, edit, etc) and using the comment box it tells me I need to log in.
I guess I have the same issue as the Op and @Dave-Carlile .
We're upgrading the login system, so hopefully this will clear any issues with logging in. We currently don't have an ETA, but hopefully it will be rolled out in the next month and a half.

That is a very good question, @SaraCecilia! While I was logged into my UnityID, I decided to try typing in something as a test, and then clicking "log in and post". It still redirected me to the main Unity Answers page, and I was not aware the post had gone through, and I'm unable to edit my question or even add a comment.
But if that worked that time, perhaps this reply will go through if I try to do the same? clicking Post Answer now
Oh wow, that sounds very confusing and misleading indeed! Seems to be an issue with our redirects somehow both with the login and on the site itself. Have noted it down.
