Unity timeline asset corrupted.
So I need to edit the timeline asset for some changes. It was opening until yesterday but today it just won't open. More specifically it gives an error
invalidCastException: Cannot cast from source type to destination type. UnityEditor.Timeline.ScriptableObjectViewPrefs`1[UnityEditor.Timeline.TimelineAssetViewModel].LoadViewModel () (at /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Extensions/Timeline/Editor/Window/ViewModel/ScriptableObjectViewPrefs.cs:108)
I'm currently deleting the library folder and allowing unity to rebuild the project. In the meantime any idea what might have caused it or how to resolve it?

It's difficult to tell why that corrupted, but deleting the Library/Timeline folder is the correct fix in this case. The only loss of data is the view settings, such as zoom level.
Yup. And it did. So anyone facing this problem, just delete your library folder and let unity rebuild it
