Any way to use rotated tree in terrain?
I have an Asset Store package and I'm trying to use its various components to build my own island terrain. I'd like to have a wind zone make my trees sway, but one of the trees is rotated such that I can't use it in my terrain (it lays flat).
Various posts I've seen say "simply rotate the model in blender" but unfortunately, blender says it cannot open this version of fbx. Is there anything else I can do, apart from buying 3ds max and fixing it there?
Thanks :/

Create a new gameobject, and set the tree as a child. Then, rotate the tree child, and save the parent as a prefab. You can then use the new prefab as a tree on your terrain, and it should work.
No, this does not work. Editor emits the warning:
The tree palmtree-thin-terrain couldn't be instanced because the prefab contains no valid mesh renderer.
In that case, you're going to have to edit the source file. Try an online converter to get it into a format you can edit.
