My laptop was just stolen last night. Does that mean my license/product key is... gone?

Hi there,

I'm freaking out because my laptop was stolen last night. I know that the product key is supposed to be good for two computers but I have it on my desktop also, so what do I do when I get my replacement laptop?

I received my product license when I purchased my dev kit from Oculus.

Anyone else experience somthing similar?

If you are having technical problems with your Unity license and you can't find the answer to your question here, please contact support at support@unity3d.com. To save you some time, here are some of the most common problems that Supports helps users with:

  • Lost or stolen computer(s)

  • Migrating a license from one machine to another

  • If your machine dies before being able to "Return" your license (see FAQ section, “Activating your license”)

  • Questions regarding your subscription, such as:
    • adding VAT to a subscription
    • duplicate Charges on subscription

  • Mass license request

  • Unable to download assets from the Asset Store

  • Removing your assets from the Asset Store (for publishers).
