How do you make use of the new stereoscopic rendering in 4.5
I'm trying to use Unity to create stereoscopic 3d content. I see that version 4.5 now has some stereo capabilities built in, and in the player settings you can click to enable stereoscopic rendering. But I see no clear effect from activating that setting, and I can't find any documentation describing the feature.
Also, before downloading 4.5 I'd been attempting to control stereo settings in unity by accessing the nvidia api or the nvidia stereo sdk. However the sdk provides plugins with a .h and .lib file, and unity seems to only accept .dll plugins for windows deployment. Does anyone have experience making this work? or is there an existing dll plugin to use to control nvidia stereo settings inside unity?
Either the new built-in unity stereo additions, or the nvidia plugin could work for me. I just need to be able to control things like stereo separation and convergence from within the unity game/program.
