Stupid question but I have to figure out
Hi. I'm not new in programming, but still dont understand and dont know many things. And I can't undrestand what means that? Vector3 dir = enemy.position - transform.position;
I can't imagine how I get new Vector3 to the enemy by taking away me position from enemy position. Someone can expalin me that so next time I could use it? Thanks.
Hi. This question is not stupid. But it doesn't belong here, since it has nothing to do with Unity.
You are having trouble understanding vector math. If you didn't learn it in school it can be hard to grasp immediately, but when you have gained a basic understanding of it, it will be clear in no time.
This example is getting the direction vector between 2 points. You'll want to subtract the target point from the starting point to get the right direction.
Have a look at the tutorials, there is a whole video about vector math.
It doesn't cover basic introduction to vector math, you will have to find that one out on your own, there are many math sites that explain difficult topics in an easy to understand manner.
Have a nice day.
PS: This question should not have been published, unfortunately there are moderators who have no idea what they are doing.
I keep seeing this and I would like to know, are questions being being published by moderators or does UA just allow the person to post the question directly to the Help space?
You are a moderator since you've had 1000 reputation yourself ;)
Default is moderated for users below 15 reputation. Help is NOT moderated, and I strongly want them to change that. Also make moderation optional and taken away from users who mis-use their moderator abilities.
Check out my Q:

It's very detailed and hopefully will get some attention of SaraCecilia or other Unity employees who can actually get the site operator to do changes. (it seems very weird that the site is not run by Unity itself to begin with)
PS: This question was published to Default unmoderated, because the OP has more than 15 Reputation, which is a joke limit in my opinion. Getting a few upvotes makes you immediately free to post everywhere you want, except $$anonymous$$oderators.
I moved it to Help so it doesn't show on the front page when I comment it.
