ObjectParameter Usage in a Custom Skybox
I am creating a custom skybox for HDRP in version 2018.4.6f1. My problem lies with the parameters defined in the SkySettings class. Most of them are very straightforward, and not problematic, but the ObjectParameter does not work no matter what I try.
ObjectParameter sounds like it allows you to pass in an object reference of a type and access it's properties later on, yes? Just like a Clamped Float Parameter contains a clamped float that can be changed, an Object Parameter sounds like it should hold an object.
The configurations I have tried are as follows: public ObjectParameter = new ObjectParameter(new SkyController()); Which is one of two ways that don't yield redlines in my IDE. It does however give Unity an aneurysm. public static SkyController skyController; public ObjectParameter = new ObjectParameter(skyController); With this one, Unity has less of an aneurysm, but tells me my reference is not set to an instance of an object (Which obviously, it isn't.)
I am trying to get values from an object in the scene which controls the sun and pass them into the SkySettings via the referenced object. So sorry if this sounds like a "write my code" question, but what do I do? Does anyone know how to use this parameter?
