Can I use my gpu for lightmap baking?
I am currently using unity 2017.1 and lightmap baking is ssssooo slow. I have been working at it for days now.
I have an awesome gpu. Do the newer versions of unity offer GPU accelerated lightmap baking? Does it work?
If this isn't an option what are some options for me to speed up the baking process using the progressive lightmapper?

Just nope, you can't read data from gpu. Just tell it what to do.
Thanks, that's unfortunate to hear the unity doesn't support gpu accelerated lightmapping.
I was able to optimize my lights a lot by changing a lot of them to mixed mode and using Light Probe Groups.
