Getting my client to connect to my server
So I have a client/server game that I've been working on, but I've been using really old version of Unity (5.5.0f3) , because when I try to use a new version, it ends up causing my networking code to stop working correctly, and I'm trying to figure out why.
I'm using a sort of mix of HLAPI and LLAPI, where I use NetworkClient and NetworkServerSimple to communicate and use Message Handlers to respond to network events. It works perfectly fine in the old Unity version. However, in the new version, my client can't connect to the server when using my public IP. It's able to connect when I connect using the localhost (127.0.0.1).
I'd appreciate any insight as to why my code isn't working in the new version. Thanks!
