Post Processing significantly reduces my frame-rate, what can I do to improve it?
After trying everything I could think of to improve my frame-rate I disabled the post process layer and global volume on my camera and voila! I went from like, 25 fps to 40 fps. The terrain I have is also pretty hard on my GPU, but that can be modified with terrain settings. The PP cannot be so easily optimized as far as I can tell.
I am trying to demonstrate an art style similar to Apex Legends, which is a AAA title with a massive terrain and plenty of post processing and it runs decent on my laptop. But a simple Unity terrain with default PP? Forget it. I've found 'mobile optimized' PP options on the asset store but I can't tell if they are actually worth my time/money. Does anyone know any tricks to keeping a smooth frame-rate in Unity with post processing? Any sort of help is appreciated!
