Use Windows Fonts in Game
Hey Community!
I have a question about Unity fonts. By Default there is only Arial usable. But I am only going to publish my Game only on Windows so can I somehow use fonts the user already has installed (Windows default Fonts like Tahoma).
So I don't have to bring them with my game because I don't have the rights for them.

Try looking for free .TTF fonts online. There are plenty to choose from. Drag one into the asset folder and you should be able to use it. Either by assigning it to a GUIText or using the GUIStyle Class in code.
Unity will do a nice job of packaging it up with your deployment so you dont need to worry about that.
So there is no way to use the windows built-in fonts without shipping it with my product?
As far as I know it needs to be imported into Unity to work. Unity needs to manage its fonts so it can deploy to multiple platforms, even if you only need it to run on Windows. You might be able to use the fonts from the C:\\Windows\\Fonts folder if you specifically want to use the Windows fonts.
