How can I make a simple Lobby scene, while staying in the same scene all the time?
Hi there!
I am working on a mobile game, in which the players can play over Wi-Fi, and connect at first over a lobby, where one player hosts a scene, and the other players can join as soon as a host is available.
The documentation of all the functions in Networking is not very clear, and I have trouble finding out
- How to create a host
- How players can see all the hosts nearby
- How to connect to said host, and have an interface over which the individual clients can access the data from other clients or the host (This part I am starting to understand, the networking itself has a better documentation)
Has anyone any experience with creating a lobby like this?
Using the default NetworkLobbyManager or NetworkPlayerHUD does not allow me to just stay in the current scene as far as I know, and is a nightmare to understand.
I would be eternally grateful if someone could help me out with this, as this issue has been plaguing me forever now...
Thanks a lot in advance!
Cheers, lagidigu
