Printing joystick input

Is there any way to print the input of a joystick? For instance ,if I'm using a PS4 controller and push the right trigger, can I have it print whatever input it's referring to in Edit>Input Settings? I just purchased InControl and it has about 200 inputs that are all unlabeled so there's no way for me to tell which is which
