Dragging prefab into scene verses terrain painting
I downloaded some tree prefabs from the Asset Store. When I drag a tree prefab into a scene it is oriented correctly. Notice though that the prefab preview (lower-right of the Unity window) shows the tree rotated.
I'd like to paint a bunch of trees using the terrain painter tool but when I do that the trees are placed rotated in the orientation seen in the preview window.
If I open the fbx in Blender it seems to be oriented correctly.
I'm really new to Unity so I'm assuming I'm doing something obviously wrong. How do I fix things so that trees are painting in the correct orientation?
