Question is off-topic or not relevant
Is there a Scanner/Digging system in unity????
I'm wanting to integrate a "Digging/Scanning" system in my game that the player can use to find resources in the ground. like ore, iron, gold etc... Now i know i can place mining nodes around that the player can mine from but i want my system to be more randomized, just to give an example but does not have to be the same would be firefalls thumping system. They use a thumping hammer to scan for resources then if what their looking for is in the area they then call down a thump-er that randomly collects the resources. they then have to defend the thump-er until completed. heres a link to a video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43quKfps_2o ) Thanks again for the help very appreciated.
P.S Are there any tutorials If not i'm wiling to pay $65.00+ to have a asset made for this need thanks. :)

This is a bit like asking if Unity has a system for making sailing ships or a sausage cooking simulator or a system for making a hundred brightly coloured lizards randomly climb up a wall and then explode...
The answer is no but Unity can almost certainly be used used to make it.
All you're really looking at doing here is instantiating the ore randomly across the terrain on start, perhaps in patterns or clusters to create veins. If you want it to dig block by block it's going to be easier but a more fluid approach will require deforming the terrain essentially like an eraser brush.
Scanning could be done with a RaycastAll if you want it to be accurate and a narrow beam. More practically probably just use something like the second example here to find the nearest ore to the miner.
Looks like lots of useful information is out there on this.
