WTF!?! just lost half my script from saving project and reopening it
I am so F'ing pissed right now. I've been working on a playfab+photon login system for the asset store for over a week now. ALWAYS saving scene and project constantly. I went to download the vehicles package and it gave me a warning saying it will overwrite my project settings. So... I save my scene... SAVE my project and then close unity. I then open another "Sample" project to download the vehicle models and wrap them up in a package. I export package and close sample project. I then reopen my menu project that I JUST saved and closed not 10 minutes ago. I opened the project and let it load and suddenly I'm getting a wave of compile errors saying references missing. I open the script and its like a 4 day old version of the script ive been working on. Im missing half the code I spent the week creating.
WTF!!! I dont even want to work on this project now honestly. I'm new to coding and have spent countless hours all week doing up a nice Asset and saving ALL THE TIME. I reopen a saved project to find scripts missing half the code?
So now what do I do? I don't collab with anyone so I wasn't using that system. I would expect when I save stuff that it gets saved. The weird part is I've closed this project a few times over the past week and its been fine. Soooo... what caused my script to revert back to half its code from days ago?
