Editor takes over 1 minute to compile or start playing
At work the project we are working on complies and plays quickly, but at home it always takes over a minute or 2 before doing anything.
PC specs: i7 3770k @ 3.50GHz CPU, usage pretty much 0% during compile or play 16GB RAM usage around 4GB during compile or play Project is on my SSD
Overall my PC is fast and I have no issues with it in terms of slowness.
EDIT: I have NO IDEA why the hell my name is a GUID, cannot change it :/ Any ideas what is causing Unity to be so slow and what I can do it fix it?
Thanks!

When there is a network problem unity starts lagging. My personal experience from using unity daily for 2 years. You have to restart unity to fix this glitch.

Bump: I also have this problem. It took so long to enter play mode that I was able to get frustrated, open a new tab and find this question before it finally booted up.
I am making a simple mobile game and last week, it was fine. I have slow internet but a fast computer. I'm starting to think it's something to do with the package manager. If I try to open my project without the internet, sometimes it throws an error saying it can't connect to the package manager. I've had it on other projects as well but none have been very big.
Currently in 2019.4.11f1
Found this person who suggested it was their own code being slow. I'd had this happen with empty scenes though so I don't buy it.
