How to use 8k videos with AVPro Video plugin,AVPro Video Plug-In for Unity
Hi @BillDozer I saw your review of the AVPro Video plugin and noticed you said you were working on an interactive video wall with 8K HAP encoded videos. Thus far I've only been able to use 4k videos with the plugin so I was wondering how you were able to use the AVPro plugin with such large file sizes?,@BillDozer

Hi @Briprep
There are limits - i.e. Windows only, DirectShow mode only, and you need the codecs installed I think from here if I recall: https://vdmx.vidvox.net/blog/hap
The videos were provided to me, so I don't know if there is any secret to that side (HAP-Q vs HAP, etc).
Its been a while since I set that all up - but I do urge you to reach out to their tech support - I always got the same person (hey hey Sunrise!). They are awesome and will update the asset and work with you to make it a success.

Hi @Briprep and @BillDozer,
There are 2 main ways to play 8K video with AVPro Video:
1) Encode using H.265 and use Windows 10 for playback and an Nvidia 10xx series GPU. This is the preferred method.
2) Encode using Hap, and select the DirectShow video API in the Platform Specific > Windows settings. This will work but the resulting file will be massive. You will need a fast CPU and SSD for playback. No Hap plugins/codecs are required for playback as it is supported natively in the plugin.
I hope this helps you.
