Best practice for tiled 3D terrain
Hi, I want to make the game I'm doing so that there's 3D terrain, but cut into tiles, visually as well as logically. What's the best way to build the maps AND project tiles onto it? What I'm going for is the isometric tile based look and feel but with 3D terrain (i.e. hills and ditches).
I tried using one Terrain per map but I can't figure out how to make it show tiles.
