How can I paint decals to terrain texture
Hello, I'm making a shooter and have a blood splash decal system in it. Basically, it places gameobject using raycast and collision and works great, BUT it's a headache when reaches to 500 objects and I want my floor covered with blood. So, I don't want to use a pool to recycle, or destroy gameobjects after few seconds.
Instead, I want to paint them directly to the terrain when they're collided. They are basically red squares. I can easily generate same with code, but how can I paint it to terrain? Is it gonna be cheap performance-wise?
