Why is the .apk size on disk different from the one shown in Unity's Editor log?

Hi,

I have an Android app that originally had around 32MB (as per Unity's Editor Log). Removed some textures, did a new build and the size was reduced to about 17MB (as per Unity's Editor Log).

The size on disk (when viewed in Windows) decreased with only 1MB. Why is that?
