How do you fix slow Unity Editor run on Windows 10?
I am trying to use the most recent version of unity on my new windows 10 machine and it is slows down so much that my mouse frame rate tanks. It makes doing trivial editor tasks a much harder task than it should be. Is this known issue with windows 10 and/or are there work arounds?
I am not running other applications at the same time, so the slow down isn't from that. I have a fairly powerful PC with an i7 so my computer hardware shouldn't be an issue. I have tried reinstalling unity many times and with different 5.0 versions. I have also tried the 32 bit version on my 64 bit machine which didn't change anything.
I run Windows 10 / Unity 5.2 and speed is very good. I did note some lag when the lightmap build option was set to Auto (Window / Lighting).

I fixed my problem by re-installing windows 10 using the setting that keeps your personal files. I am not having any slow down now. I have no idea why it was causing this problem in the first place.
