Animate cannon with artillerymen
I would like to animate a medieval cannon with artillerymen. So that movement, shooting and reloading a cannonball is animated nicely. The result should be ideally similar to the anti tank or machine guns in Company of Heroes, so that artillerymen can be attacked and gunners can defend themself in melee etc.
I made a model of the cannon in blender and also models of artillerymen. However I am not sure, how to get them working together. Should I animate the cannon together with human rigs in blender? Or should I create the human animations independently, assign them to the artillery gunners and do placement, rotation etc in unity via scripts?
Any help where to start would be welcome.
