Can someone explain Cloth Surface Penetration?
I've been making some drapes and I think they look pretty good. When editing the constraints I've only been setting max/no distance and have left the surface penetration setting alone.
I am unsure of what it is and would like to know so I can maybe make my drapes even better. The unityDoc doesn't help me at all. It just says 'how much it can penetrate a mesh'.
I'm also having the same problem. Unity is usually very rich on tutorials, but regarding such a deep subject as cloth, there is only one manual page with shallow explanations.
The place I was at when I asked this question wanted to get as real cloth physics as possible and it was an absolute nightmare. Took about a month just to get them to what I thought was good and even then so the higher ups didn't think it was good enough. With better explaining of that component I might have been able to do it. With all the time I spent learning what everything does I would have made a tutorial but I forgot how to do it seeing that this was a year ago and I've since moved on haha.
