Installing MonoDevelop
When I install unity, instead of installing monoDevelop, it downloads microsoft visual studio. I really hate that editor, but monoDevelop is quite nice and I prefer programming there. I was wonderiing if there would be any way I could install monoDevelop by default with unity (I've tried downloading from the official page but it doesn't seem to work. Thankyou
Hi @joroba3 , I have the same problem... visual studio is trash for me. How can I install monodevelop now? I've tried at the home page of monodevelop but it doesn't work...
I believe that it is installed when you install Unity, you just have to switch to it if Visual Studio is the default launcher
This Q is out-of-date. Unity doesn't use monodevelope anymore. It was replaced by VS-Code as the "generic" editor (which may also be out-of-date).
